What brings people here

You don't have to be in crisis to deserve help.

Most people who call me describe some version of one of these.

  • The worry doesn't switch off — not at work, not at 2 a.m.
  • Something happened years ago and it's still running the show.
  • Drinking or using started as relief and became the problem.
  • You're functioning fine on paper and empty underneath it.
  • Your teenager has changed and you don't know how to reach them.
  • Grief, a divorce, a diagnosis — and the ground hasn't settled since.

None of that means something is wrong with you. It usually means something happened to you, and it hasn't had anywhere to go yet.

I believe therapy is a collaborative process where you have the opportunity to engage in self-exploration and resolve some of the obstacles preventing you from achieving complete balance in your life.

The work

Four things I spend most of my time on.

Every person is different, so the plan is built with you rather than handed to you. These are the areas I know best.

Anxiety & stress

Getting the volume down

Panic, health anxiety, social anxiety, the constant low hum of dread. We work on what's driving it and on practical tools you can use the same week.

Trauma & PTSD

Working at your pace

Trauma-informed from the first session. Nothing gets opened before you have somewhere steady to stand. You set the pace; I hold the structure.

Addiction & recovery

Without the lecture

I'm a Certified Alcohol & Drug Clinician as well as a therapist. Substance use, early recovery, relapse, and the family around it — treated as one picture.

Depression & life transitions

Finding the thread again

Grief, divorce, an empty house, a career that stopped fitting. Work on both the mood and the life that's feeding it.

Starting out

What the first few weeks look like.

  1. STEP 01

    A free 15-minute call

You tell me what's going on. I tell you honestly whether I'm the right fit. No cost, no pressure.

  2. STEP 02

    First session

Fifty minutes. History, what you want to be different, and what we'll do about it.

  3. STEP 03

    A plan you agreed to

We name two or three concrete goals so you can tell whether this is working.

  4. STEP 04

    Ongoing work

Usually weekly to start, moving to every other week as things steady. You decide when you're done.

Next step

Fifteen minutes on the phone costs you nothing.

Tell me what's going on and I'll tell you straight whether I'm the right person for it. If I'm not, I'll point you toward someone who is.
